School & group bookings

From swim carnivals to aquatic education and survival skills, we can tailor an aquatic program for your school or community group.

We offer essential water safety and survival skills education to primary and secondary school students.

In a practical environment they will develop physical skills, knowledge and understanding of a range of aquatic situations. Programs can be tailored to suit the age group.

So whether you’re looking for a fun excursion or end of year event for your students, a venue for your swimming carnival, or an integrated component of your PE program, we are here to help.

And remember, we’re committed to everyone having the opportunity to participate. So if you have a student in financial hardship, YMCA can provide subsidised access to the program.

Aqua exercise classes

Water exercise classes are a great low impact activity to keep you healthy and fit. Classes are run by qualified instructors and provide a safe and gentle environment for exercise.

No matter what age or ability you are, we can provide a comprehensive workout that leaves you feeling great. We also provide floatation devices, music and qualified instructors to take you through the routines.

Lap swimming

Slow, medium or fast, we’ve got a lane for you!

It’s not only a great way to escape the heat but swimming a few laps in a pool can translate into a total body workout! A swim workout adds minimal impact or stress to your joints – in fact it encourages joint mobility! The aerobic benefits are also great for your heart as it can really boost cardiovascular endurance and help increase your lung capacity. Not only that, the resistance through the water is a great way to tone up those muscles.

There is usually a minimum of one lanes available, plus space for unstructured activity. This may vary when we’re hosting a carnival, so please the check lap lane availability or call us if you’re unsure.

Lap swimming is available at all pools.
